Stripping
A piece of furniture is immersed in a chemical bath either in the dip tank, for those pieces that need to have heavier coats of paint or finish removed, or in the flow over tank for the more delicate pieces.
Then it is washed and put through a mild chemical bath to completely remove the existing finish as well as stains and dyes that may be still in the wood.
